How do I play?

1. Tap inside the orange circle to place your drifter.
2. Use the slider to choose when to let go.
3. Press Release. While it drifts, tap the map to nudge it towards your tap (three nudges per try).
4. Reach the green target before eight hours pass. Beat par for three stars.

Is every puzzle possible?

Yes. Every day's puzzle is solved by the game before you play, which is also how par is set. After a couple of misses, the game offers a hint, and "Show me" reveals a winning drop.

When does the new puzzle appear?

At midnight UK time. Your streak counts the days in a row you solve the daily puzzle.

Are the tides real?

Yes: each puzzle uses that day's real tide from our model of the seas around the UK and Ireland. It is a game, not a guide to the water, so always check local conditions before going afloat.

My streak or stats went missing

They are stored only on your device, so they reset if the app is deleted or your phone's storage is cleared.
